Hutchison Infrastructure FeeWritten on the 3 April 2019 In a recent announcement from Hutchinson Ports Sydney, Port Botany Terminal, their infrastructure surcharge will be increased for all full import and export containers handled at the terminal and is to commence in application from Wednesday 1st May 2019. The Infrastructure surcharge is imposed by the terminal on the transport carrier and is additional to our contracted and agreed transport rate. As a consequence, when performing transport services on our client's behalf we will be required to pass on these costs as levied by Hutchison's Port. Similar to the current DP World and Patrick Terminal Infrastructure Surcharges, the carrier is burdened with the upfront costs in funding this surcharge along with administrating it. Therefore, from the 1st May 2019, all full containers import and export via Hutchinson Terminal will have included on your invoice an Infrastructure Surcharge in the amount of: $45.00 plus GST per container. We will continue to keep you updated on these fees'. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Scorpion Representative.
